Thank all of you for your part in achieving a near algae free pond at the Cobblestone at the Ravines Complex near 44th and Shaffer. It has been about six weeks since the suction cleaning. After the cleaning, the fountains were installed and the pond treated. With the current heat, an algae bloom would have occurred in all previous years.

Without cooperation from the City of Kentwood and EGLE, the vacuum cleaning by Russ’s team at Sediment Removal System would not have been possible. Jake’s team at PLM Lake and Land Management continue to take care of the pond on a regular basis.

Let’s hope that this great looking pond continues.
